Blues Mother Jam Sessions/Open Mic Nights are fun from the word GO! Poets, Comedians & Musicians (all types of music) are made to feel welcome and part of the family immediately. Everyone who arrives at a reasonable time has a turn. We try to structure the evening to allow musicians who do not have their own band with them - a chance to play with other musicians who will back them. The session usually ends with as many performers on the stage as possible.
The members of many local working bands met, formed and gave their first performances at Blues Mother Jam Sessions. There is always gossip (usually about Les) and net-working taking place in recesses and smoking areas. We provide a great night out - as anyone will tell you.
We are a Travelling Jam Night, and as such cover a large part of Kent, pulling in performers from as far South as Bexhill and as far North West as London!
